Drills are one of the most important activities performed by NCC cadets. Drills involve repetition of a set of actions in a coordinated manner. Foot-drills are performed on a regular basis to induce discipline, coordination and ability to respond to orders quickly in the cadets.
Guard of Honour
A type of drill given to the National Flag, select government officials and to Indian military officers holding certain ranks. Cadets of NCC IIT Bombay had the privilege to offer the Guard of Honour to Associate Director General of NCC - Major General D.S.Gill on his visit to IIT Bombay.
Adventure activities
Adventure activities are performed with the aim to develop superior physical fitness, high tolerance to uncertainty and build confidence in the cadets. Cycle rides, treks and hikes are organized regularly for cadets at NCC IIT Bombay.
Weapon Training
Shooting practices are organized for the cadets once in a semester and during the Annual Training Camp. Cadets are also taught to assemble and disassemble selected rifles. Training to handle weapons is the most unique opportunity that any college student can get by joining NCC.
Sports
Sports are an integral part of regular training of cadets. They aim to raise the physical fitness, provide recreation and induce teamwork. Volleyball, basketball, cricket and football are offered to cadets to learn and excel.
Lectures
Lectures on specialized subjects like army organization, map reading and field & battle craft as well as general topics like health & hygiene, national integration and disaster management are given by the Commanding Officer.
Cultural Activies
Cultural programmes are organized during the Annual Training Camps. Cadets get to showcase their musical, theatrical and dance skills during the cultural programmes. They greatly help to increase the bonding between cadets.
Social Service
NCC cadets regularly perform social service. Blood donation, tree plantation and awareness drives are regularly organized by the unit.
