About
2 Maharashtra Engineer Regiment National Cadet Corps IIT Bombay is a National Cadet Corps unit under the aegis of Bombay Engineer Group. It is one of the only two NCC Engineer Regiments of India. NCC IIT Bombay fosters patriotism and discipline in the cadets, thereby creating dynamic and visionary leaders of India.
NCC IIT Bombay strives to fulfill the following aims –
1. Create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the nation.
2. Develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
3. Provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.

6.REGT PLACED UNDER SUSPENDED ANIMATION IN 1994.
7. EFFORTS FOR REVIVAL STARTED WEF SEP 2005.
8.FIRST PARADE AFTER SUSPENDED ANIMATION STARTED ON 26 AUG 2006.
